Basic Computer Training for Children in Batoh Village

The participants from Batoh Village and one of the UNSYIAH-ADOC trainers were discussing about Linux Ubuntu during the training.

The training was held on January 17 to 21, 2011 from 2.00PM - 4.00PM, located at the Batoh Village Office. It is the first session of the training in the third week of the month. The training was organized together by the Aceh Institute and UNSYIAH-ADOC e-Learning Center. It teaches children introduction to Linux Ubuntu OS and office applications. All participants are children younger than 15 years old, encompass of 12 girls and 3 boys.

One of the rooms in the office was used for the training, and even though it is small, the participants were very happy to be part of the training. Most of them agreed that the training helps them improve their basic ICT skills.
