Partnership with AI

UNSYIAH-ADOC e-Learning Center is established to reduce the digital divide in Aceh. The establishment of the center is supported by the APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC) Secretariat in Chinese Taipei. The center was found in December 2010 and is located in the 3rd level of the UNSYIAH-TAIWAN ICT Building, Syiah Kuala University.

This month, UNSYIAH-ADOC e-Learning Center is serving the community by teaching basic ICT to children in 9 villages around Kecamatan Lueng Bata, Banda Aceh, i.e. Lueng Bata, Cot Mesjid, Lamsepeung, Panteriek, Batoh, Blang Cut, Lamdom, Suka Damai, and Lampaloh. The training starts on January 3, 2011 and will last on February 4, 2011. It is a collaboration between UNSYIAH-ADOC e-Learning Center and the Aceh Institute. The training is aimed to introduce basic computer and its operations to school-age children (12 to 14 years old) as well as to teach children on how to use Linux Ubuntu system. The computer skill of the children is expected to be enhanced by this training. This activity is also one of the services from Syiah Kuala University to the community.
